The Staples Center







The Staples center is an example of a famous stadium that was influenced by the Roman Colosseum. It is located in downtown L.A, California. The Staples center is a multi-purpose sports stadium that is the home to many different L.A sports teams such as the L.A Lakers, L.A Kings, and the L.A Clippers. It holds up to 19,060 people for basketball games, 18,118 people for ice hockey and football games, and around 20,000 people for other events such as concerts. The Stadium has a total of 2500 club seats, 160 luxury suites, and 15 events seats for the different types of tickets depending on how much you pay for them.
 



Construction of the Staples Center began in 1998 and opened one year later on March 31st 1999. The stadium is 950,000 square feet and 150 feet tall and cost around 375 million dollars to build. One of the special features that this sports stadium contains is the Star Plaza. The Star Plaza is located directly outside of the Staples Center. It showcases many statues of major sports legends some of which are Wayne Gretzky, Magic Johnson, and Oscar De La Hoya.

The Staples Center an extremely high rated sports venue that hosts many different sports games and events.
